Finishing up my Friday night at Undercurrents, I was treated to the opening performance of Ottawa’s own Much Ado About Feckin’ Pirates, presented by Parry Riposte Productions. I missed it when it originally premiered at the Gladstone because, honestly, I was skeptical about this show. I really wondered how interesting could an improv show about clichéd pirates who are tied up in the ship’s crow’s nest for, more or less, an entire hour be? Shiver me timbers, was I wrong.
